English 10 A Block

This course is designed to create a rigorous learning environment in which we will use critical thinking, individual and group projects, writing, and reading to become more successful human beings.  We will be examining various genres throughout the semester including drama, poetry, short stories, and novels.  We will also be using our vocabulary workbook to have a better understanding of the English Language and to promote understanding of the above mentioned genres. 


 

SWR A Level B & D Blocks

 
This course is designed to help you feel comfortable speaking in front of groups of people.  It will also prepare you with research tools you will need to write an intensive research paper and numerous speeches.  Throughout the course you will participate in improvisation, research strategies, note taking, and speech writing.  We will work together to create a safe environment that allows us to share ideas and listen to others.
